{"id":2272,"date":"2017-10-04T16:49:47","date_gmt":"2017-10-04T05:49:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.socialstatus.io\/?p=2134"},"modified":"2022-09-06T23:29:21","modified_gmt":"2022-09-06T13:29:21","slug":"instagram-announce-stories-flexibility-2m-advertisers-using-platform-every-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.socialstatus.io\/instagram-announce-stories-flexibility-2m-advertisers-using-platform-every-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Instagram Announce More Flexibility for the 2M Advertisers Using the Platform Every Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Instagram announce exponential growth for the number of advertisers using the platform every month &#8211; doubling from 1M to 2M since March this year.<\/h3>\n<p>And it&#8217;s not the first time the social platform has seen such growth, doubling from 500,000 advertisers to 1 million advertisers in the space of 6 months almost a year ago (a result of the integration between Facebook and Instagram advertising).<\/p>\n<p>With a total community size of <a href=\"https:\/\/business.instagram.com\/blog\/safety-and-kindness-for-800-million\/\">800 million<\/a> (500 million of them using the platform every day), it is no wonder advertisers have flocked to spend their dollars on the highly popular platform.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"wp-image-2139 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialstatus.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Instagram-2M-Advertisers-Per-Month.png\" alt=\"Instagram-2M-Advertisers-Per-Month\" width=\"690\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And it seems\u00a0Instagram is catching up with its parent company, Facebook, who claim to have 5 million advertisers spending their money on the platform as of April this year.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>People are spending more time than ever on the platform producing and exploring content, especially mobile video &#8211; Instagram<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>While the integration between Facebook and Instagram advertising has certainly played a part in Instagram&#8217;s advertiser growth, video has played the biggest role. Instagram reports that people are spending 80% more time watching videos on Instagram than they were a year ago.<\/p>\n<p>250 million people are watching and creating stories every day, and businesses are no different, with more than 50% of\u00a0them creating at least one story in the last month.<\/p>\n<p>Instagram plans to ride this growth wave, introducing a number of features and Facebook integrations for their stories, &#8220;giving advertisers more flexibility&#8221;.<\/p>\n<h4>Facebook&#8217;s Canvas Integration<\/h4>\n<p>Instagram allows advertisers to take advantage of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/business\/learn\/facebook-create-ad-canvas-ads\">Facebook&#8217;s full screen Canvas<\/a> format inside of Instagram Stories.<\/p>\n<p>The intention is to allow advertisers to capture their audiences attention with a short, video or jingle, and lead them somewhere where they can learn more about the product or service on offer.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"wp-image-2141 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialstatus.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2017-09-28-at-3.35.51-pm.jpg\" alt=\"Facebook Canvas Integration\" width=\"692\" height=\"491\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Store Existing Creative Content Permanently in Power Editor and Ads Manager<\/h4>\n<p>Instagram is extending its creative tool suite by implementing a new uploading feature.<\/p>\n<p>This feature will allow advertisers to re-purpose existing creative content, by storing it permanently within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/business\/help\/1443935649245791\">Power Editor<\/a> and Ads Manager for future use.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"wp-image-2143 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.socialstatus.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/Screen-Shot-2017-09-28-at-3.52.02-pm.jpg\" alt=\"Instagram Uploading Features\" width=\"703\" height=\"534\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This feature is intended to increase the amount of organic content created within Instagram and have advertisers take full advantage of Instagram&#8217;s camera features; face filters, boomerangs, and drawing tools.<\/p>\n<h4>Placement Optimisation<\/h4>\n<p>The Facebook Marketing Science Team have been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/iq\/articles\/optimizing-audience-buying-on-facebook-and-instagram\">researching cross-platform campaigns and spend<\/a>, trying to establish a way for cost effective campaign success.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Placement optimisation leverages off Facebook&#8217;s ad delivery system to dynamically seek out the lowest cost per outcome at any given point in time wherever it&#8217;s available, whether it be on Facebook or Instagram.
